Reliable measurement of oxidative stress with high reproducibility and seamless system integration

As reactive oxygen and free radicals, the cause of oxidative stress, are known to have a short shelf life and are highly reactive, its measurement has been a challenge, especially in clinical applications. The d-ROMs test does not directly measure reactive oxygen and free radicals, but rather quantifies the metabolite ROOH to evaluate oxidative stress. This makes applications in clinical research as well as in various other fields (food, sports, etc.) possible.
What it Measures
What the d-ROMs Test Measures
The d-ROMs test quantifies hydroperoxides in biological samples, providing a reliable indicator of oxidative stress levels.
Why it Matters
Why Oxidative Stress Matters
Oxidative stress is associated with a wide range of physiological conditions and diseases.
Accurate measurement is essential for clinical evaluation, research, and health monitoring.
Why Our Reagents
Optimized for Automated Analyzers
Designed for seamless integration into clinical chemistry systems
High Reproducibility
Stable and consistent results across samples and reagent lots
Operational Efficiency Ready-to-use formulation with minimal preparation
Measurement Principle
Hydroperoxides react under acidic conditions to generate radicals, which oxidize a chromogenic substrate.
The resulting color intensity is proportional to the concentration of reactive oxygen metabolites.
Key Features
・Sensitive detection of oxidative metabolites
・Suitable for routine clinical and
research applications
・Compatible with automated workflows
